A transparent walkthrough of how thcadeals.co decides which vendors to cover, how products are ranked, and what we do and don't verify before posting a deal.
Vendors are added to our scraper based on a small set of criteria, in this order:
Affiliate program availability is not a selection criterion. Several vendors we cover have no affiliate program at all; we still list their deals because they're relevant to buyers.
The full scrape runs once daily, at 7am ET (11:00 UTC), via a Railway cron job. Every product currently on sale at every covered vendor is captured: vendor name, product name, sale price, original price, discount percentage, image URL, category, and product page URL. Stale entries (products that were on sale yesterday but aren't today) are removed from the public feed.
Because we refresh once per day, prices reflect what was live as of that morning's scrape. Vendors can change prices mid-day; we recommend confirming the price on the vendor's site before checking out.
The default sort is by largest discount percentage, descending. Users can re-sort by price (low-to-high, high-to-low) or by newest. Filters allow narrowing to a single vendor or category.
There is no manual editorial weight applied to the ranking. No vendor or deal is artificially boosted or buried.
We do not independently re-test or re-verify Certificates of Analysis. We require that vendors link a COA from their product pages, but the authenticity of those COAs is the vendor's responsibility. If credible third-party allegations of falsified COAs are raised against a vendor we cover, we evaluate the evidence and either keep, flag, or remove the vendor at editorial discretion. We don't act on anonymous accusations alone.
Outbound deal links pass through our internal click tracker (/go/<id>) before redirecting to the vendor. The tracker logs the click, applies the appropriate affiliate code if we have one for that vendor, and 302-redirects to the destination. This is how we get paid when a purchase happens.
Critically: the tracker doesn't change which products are shown or how they're ranked. A click on a deal from a vendor we have an affiliate relationship with looks identical, in our analytics and on the page, to a click on a deal from a vendor we don't have an affiliate relationship with.
